Most Worshipful Brother G. Keith Odendahl

Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Utah 2000

M.W. Brother Odendahl was born October 2, 1956, in Price, Utah, to W. Thuren and Beverly Odendahl. He was educated in the public schools in Price, Utah, and graduated from the College of Eastern Utah in Price. He graduated Cum Laude from Utah State University in Logan, Utah, with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

On August 21, 1976, he married Mary Brandol and they have three wonderful daughters. Jennifer was born on Christmas Day. 1977. Kelly was born August 6, 1980, and Karin arrived December 2, 1985.

He works for PacificCorp (formerly UP&L) as a Laboratory and Environmental Technician at the Hunter Electric Generation Plant.

Grand Master Odendahl is a member of Joppa Lodge No. 26 in Price, Utah, and Orient Lodge No. 15 in Green River, Utah. He was initiated an Entered Apprentice in Joppa Lodge in April of 1975, Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft in May of 1975 and Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in September of 1975. It was a rare privilege to have his granddad Walter, father Thuren, and brother Gordon actively participate in all three of his degrees. His future father-in-law, Mike Brandol, served as Tyler of the lodge at that time. He served as Worshipful Master of Joppa Lodge in 1981 and 1994. He was appointed a Grand Representative of the Grand Lodge of Colorado in 1999.

He is a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, receiving his 32 at the 150th Reunion in November of 1977. He has been an active member of a degree cast for over 15 years. He was invested with the Rank and Decoration of Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in November of 1995.

Brother Odendahl was created a Noble in El Kalah Temple, Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine in November of 1977. He is a member of the Eastern Utah Shrine Club. Grand Master Odendahl joined the York Rite in March of 1980 and is a member of Price Chapter No.6 Royal Arch Masons, Solomon Council No. 4 Royal and Select Masters and Charles Fred Jennings Commandry No.6, all in Price, Utah. He served as Eminent Commander in 1996 and is currently serving as King in Price Chapter No. 6 and Deputy Master in Solomon Council. He is a charter member of Golgotha Chapter No. 10, Royal Arch Masons in Green River. He was initiated a member of the Bonneville Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine in January of 1999.

He joined the Order of the Eastern Star in May of 1997 and is a member of Naomi Chapter No. 13 in Price, Utah.

In August of 1999, he received the DeMo1ay Legion of Honor (Honorary).

Most Worshipful Grand Master Odendahl was first appointed to the Grand Lodge of Utah in July of 1994 by Past Grand Master John L. Elwell, Jr. He was elected Junior Grand Warden in February of 1997 and was elected and installed Grand Master at the 128th Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge on February 5th 2000.

Brother Odendah1 has many interests and hobbies and has always received extraordinary support from his wife, children, and parents. He loves to travel with his family and enjoys camping, fishing, and hiking. He is a certified scuba diver and loves nature and animals. As a young man, he successfully raised and trained two falcons. He enjoys his two horses and his Basset hound, Otis. With his granddad by his side, he studied outer space and is still an avid amateur astronomer.

Brother Odendahl earned his EMT certificate, which he still utilizes at work. He loves to study world and military history.

Most recently, he earned his private pilot's license.
