Most Worshipful Brother Travis M. McGuire was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 8th 1977, to Edward and Sandy McGuire, the youngest of three boys and his mom’s favorite. He grew up in Taylorsville Utah. He attended Cottonwood High School, graduating in 1995. He worked a number of starter jobs until he found his niche in the world of production planning and management. He worked for Intermountain Wood Products for 20 years. He has three beautiful children Cody (Brooke), Tyler (Addison), and Oakley (Carson) who are the light of his life. He met his girlfriend Alexis and has three bonus kids Jaxson, Brody, and Avery and they have been inseparable ever since.

Most Worshipful Brother McGuire was initiated an Entered Apprentice in Christopher Diehl Lodge No. 19 in Magna, Utah on July 27, 2009. He was passed to the degree of Fellowcraft in the same Lodge on November 23, 2009 and Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on February 13, 2010. He affiliated with Rocky Mountain Lodge No. 11 on June 18, 2010, with Tintic Lodge No. 9 on September 8, 2015 and with Canyon Lodge No. 13 on June 16, 2016.

Most Worshipful Brother McGuire served as Worshipful Master of Christopher Diehl Lodge No. 19 in 2015. He also served as Secretary of Christopher Diehl Lodge No. 19 during the years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. He served as Treasurer of Tintic Lodge No. 9 in 2017, and 2020 . He also served as the Deputy Grand Lecturer in Christopher Diehl No. 19 in 2016.

In 2016 Travis was appointed Junior Grand Steward of the MW Grand Lodge of Utah by Most Worshipful Brother R. Wesley Ing. He was appointed as Grand Marshal in 2017, and as Grand Lecturer in 2018 and 2019. He was elected Junior Grand Warden in 2020, Senior Grand Warden in 2021, and Deputy Grand Master/Grand Master Elect in 2022. On February 4, 2023 Most Worshipful Brother McGuire was installed as Grand Master of Utah by Most Worshipful Brother R. Wesley Ing, PGM.

Most Worshipful Brother McGuire joined El Kalah Shrine in 2010 and has subsequently served as Parade Marshal twice, the last time in 2022. He joined the Midvale York Rite in 2019. He joined the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite in April 2010, beginning his journey on April 22, 2010 and achieving the 32˚ on April 24, 2010. He was invested with the Rank and Decoration of Knight Commander of the Court of Honor for his extensive service on November 7, 2015.

He has served as head of all four bodies of the Scottish Rite Valley of Salt Lake. Serving as Venerable Master of the Jordan Lodge of Perfection in 2016. Wise Master of James Lowe chapter of Rose Croix in 2019. Commander of the Salt Lake Council of Kadosh in 2018. And Master of Kadosh of the Utah Consistory in 2016.

He served in various capacities including Commander of the KCCH Club, as a member of the Reunion Staff, also served as Secretary of the Board of Trustees for RiteCare of Utah beginning in 2010 and served for more than a decade.

Most Worshipful Brother McGuire’s extensive travel throughout the state of Utah, and within all its major bodies, as well as his extensive business experience have well prepared him to oversee the Grand Lodge of Utah and we are greatly blessed by his service to the Grand Lodge and Scottish Rite of Utah.
